What are tendons? What is golfer's/tennis elbow?

Tendons are tough bands that connect muscle to bone. The tendons that control your wrist and grip attach right at your elbow, on the inside for golfer's elbow and the outside for tennis elbow. Repeated force, like the shock of hitting off a mat, strains those tendons and causes the pain.
